4.5 🌟🌟🌟🌟 This is my second book by Linda Hurtado Bond and the second in the series. It starts out action-packed and becomes a nail-biting thriller! The story is set in Cuba, where Mari is determined to find her abducted sister and the man who killed their mother. At times, I felt like I was on the journey with Mari, trying to make my way into Cuba. I loved learning about the culture, but there were moments that were terrifying! Once again the author leaves us at a cliffhanger, hinting there is more to come.

When not reading, you can find me out with my husband and friends, venturing to explore new restaurants, and tasting wines from around the world! I married her high school sweetheart and we have three grown children. We recently have become empty nesters as our last baby has gone off to college. In addition to being a bookworm, I love listening to music, going to concerts, and attending Phoenix Coyotes hockey games. I am likely Madonna's number 1 fan and have the tattoo to prove it!
