“Dating & Dismemberment” by A.L. Brody is the first book in the two-part Mating and Monsters Series. It’s a humorous and lighthearted monster romance that everyone ought to read. Since this was my first book by the author, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. While there’s not much spicy content typically found in romances, the characters have great chemistry and a playful dynamic. Darla Drake, the main monster, is absolutely hilarious. The witty exchanges between her and Jarko, the monster who took her territory while she was on sabbatical, will have you laughing out loud! I highly recommend picking this one up! A huge thank you to Amara/Entangled Publishing for sending it my way—I loved every bit of it!
My passion has always been reading. From a young age I found true joy in diving into literature and discussing books with anyone who'd listen; and I haven't stopped since. After acquiring quite a collection of signed books from my favorite authors, meeting new people through book clubs, signings and making lifetime friends (both fiction and non-fiction), I have started my own blog, Hi'D's Book Hub!
When not reading, you can find me out with my husband and friends, venturing to explore new restaurants, and tasting wines from around the world! I married her high school sweetheart and we have three grown children. We recently have become empty nesters as our last baby has gone off to college. In addition to being a bookworm, I love listening to music, going to concerts, and attending Phoenix Coyotes hockey games. I am likely Madonna's number 1 fan and have the tattoo to prove it!
