“Beyond Fear” by Karen Chrappa is a memoir that chronicles a woman’s journey toward enlightenment, just as the cover indicates. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and found several similarities with the author’s experiences. Throughout my life, many people have suggested that I should share my own story, and after reading Karen’s inspiring words, I feel I might finally have the courage to do so. Her story was both thought-provoking and motivating, and I read it in just a few hours because the writing style was so good. As a fan of memoirs, I think this is a book that everyone should read! A heartfelt thank you to Book Detour and Karen Chrappa for sending me over this ARC copy—I’m delighted to add it to my collection!
My passion has always been reading. From a young age I found true joy in diving into literature and discussing books with anyone who'd listen; and I haven't stopped since. When not reading, you can find me out with my husband and friends, venturing to explore new restaurants, and tasting wines from around the world! I married her high school sweetheart and we have three grown children. We recently have become empty nesters as our last baby has gone off to college. In addition to being a bookworm, I love listening to music, going to concerts, and attending Phoenix Coyotes hockey games. I am likely Madonna's number 1 fan and have the tattoo to prove it!
